It took Erno Rubik (the inventor of the Rubik’s Cube) one month to learn how to do a Rubik’s Cube. Some people started thinking about how to complete the Rubik’s Cube back in the 80’s, and in 40 years have got little further than one side. If you want to learn how to solve the Rubik’s Cube, look no further, you have come to the right place!

How to get faster at solving the Rubik’s Cube

July 4th 2014 by Rubik's | 2 comments

There are many ways of getting faster, for example lubricating or modifying your cube parts. However a very important step to getting fast is to use a more efficient method, one that uses fewer moves. Here we will describe a slightly more advanced version of the method presented in our solution guide.

Just like in the other solution guide, our goal here is to get the top side all yellow. To do this we orient (flip them up the right way) the edges, followed by the corners. We first have to orient the edges, and this is done in the same way as before, except we have one extra algorithm that may help you save time for the case where there are 4 edges flipped. This algorithm consists of the first two, which you probably already know.
